There are many exciting new features coming with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Spring Wave. See our previous post highlighting what we think are the top 8 new features.
You may be wondering how to access these new features. Microsoft has been changing the way solutions and features become enabled in CRM. In the past, features were usually just “there,” or a solution had to be manually installed. Solutions are still being used; however, many are now being moved into the Office 365 administrative area. In this post, you will learn how to enable several key features in this exciting new release, including:
Keygen Microsoft 2016
- Field Service
- Project Service
- Guided User Navigation
The New Enhanced Office 365 Admin User Experience
Before we get started, something else you need to know is that a new Office 365 admin portal is being rolled out. Your experience will be different depending on which experience has been enabled. The new user interface began rolling out recently, and I expect it will take place over the next few months. If you haven’t received it yet, you will soon,

Enabling Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Spring Wave Features
Start by going to the home screen of Office 365 and logging in with Admin privileges.
WARNING: Do not do this in your production environment. It is best to create a Sandbox instance and test these features there. If you don’t have a Sandbox instance, you can also set up a 30-day RM trial and can check them out there.
From here, go to the left navigation area and scroll to ADMIN or Admin Centers.

This will open a new browser tab/window and display the following screen. Note that you might see additional instances in your view, depending on how many instances you have.

From here, click the small icon to the right of Solutions (approximately in the middle of the page). This will display a page with all of the available solutions that can be installed in your CRM instance.

If you click on a line, you will get a description of the corresponding solution. To enable a feature, click on the name so the solution is highlighted, then clicked the INSTALL icon.
You will see a number of solutions available, a few that were in technical preview and a couple that are still in preview mode, including:
- Company News Timelines – A new mobile related feature that will show the latest news on company records in the smartphone or tablet apps
- Office 365 Groups – A way to collaborate with members of other teams using Office 365 Groups (similar in features such as Yammer)
- Fantasy Sales Team – A sales-focused feature with gamification aspects to help increase user adoption and add a fun, competitive gaming component to CRM
- Voice of the Customer – Customer surveys
Guided User Experience

The Guided User Experience is essentially already enabled; however, there is now solution to install it. At first, it might appear to be partially hidden, but it’s there. To find it from any Microsoft Dynamics CRM screen, click the ? icon on the upper right corner of the web page.
If you have the new Guided User Experience, the icon will look like this:
If it is not yet available, the icon will look like this:
To see the new guided experience, click the new Help icon, and a side panel will slide out that looks like Figure 7.
